The snob is always fair where a café will only be judged free from prejudice with no fewer than two visitations.
It was on a sunny late afternoon where the Snob paid Ahmad & Co. a visit. Parkings are of plenty on public holidays of such unfortunately not so on commuting weekdays. Since fuel prices has dipped to an all-time low, I took my time picking a spot under the tree in a weather like this as I waited for my acquaintance’s arrival. Upon his presence, we left our Ingolstadt marque to rest and make our way into the café.
As friendly as before having sincerely greeted and asked about the day, I was also disclosed of their proud and newly arrived Central America beans. Apart from coffee, I was also offered cigars since the café caters to takers seriously with a dedicated room. Just as eager to discover what differs from then, I was just as anxious fearing Ahmad & Co may fail to deliver because my expectations were high owing to the last visit being a rather pleasant one.
Ahmad and Company have their Hublot clock to thank for watching over them where I am pleased to report on their coffee being spot on for complex tasting notes leaving a blueberry and jammy finish on the palate. A&C has not only gotten better but they are on top of their game. If you’re into milky and fat-filled coffee, turn to Whisk but if you’re into a heavier tasting cup of coffee, Ahmad will be well worth your time.
There are two things that require some ironing out at Ahmad’s. First, their furniture would be great for those who are blessed with awkwardly short torso and disproportionate long limbs. Second, its squeaky floor. Undeterred by its fixtures and fittings, their cup of latte (at RM10) has earned my praise where I decided to spend the next two hours exchanging thoughts on an upcoming venture. What’s more we were accompanied by two of the biggest steroidal action stars Sylvester and Arnold where they were seated close to the johns.
Ahmad & Co is a safe haven that endows great hospitality.
