Otherwise café evokes warmth opposing to eeriness according to an opinionated bunch with its antique decoration and studio/salon by its side. It could be due to my visit that was in the afternoon. I made my order as soon as I walked through their doors. Tiramisu in a glass to go with a cup of cappuccino and flat white where all are stickered at 11 ringgit each. There may only be one person on duty but I was served with great patience and hospitality (I’m looking at you BAC).
I was quite immersed into what Otherwise have got on display accompanied with Rachel Yamagata’s Sunday Afternoon being piped through a modified pre-World War radio.
The Cap was first to arrive followed by the flat white then the cake. I am pleased to report that their coffee is of substance where the barista definitely knows her stuff. Their coffee is served with double shots on default but the espresso never overpowers the Farmhouse milk. All in all, both the cups were well balanced and properly structured throughout. If I had to choose, it’d be the cappuccino. Despite that, their cakes aren’t quite the case for being fairly plebeian but all is forgiven with the coffee they serve.
Otherwise café grips me by their coffee while
their hospitality made me stay.

As of March 2016, Otherwise has employed some help from a man who's wearing Bob Marley's wig produces coffee that not only the art alone has gone south but equally depressing cups.If Otherwise does not bounce back with tunes, warmth and wholesome cups of coffee they once brewed, the Snob is taking two full stars away.
"Take me back to the Otherwise I once know of"
It seems
like Otherwise has only gotten dimmer in the month of April as they brew
soulless coffee as if they just cannot get their calibrations right. Simply
put, The Snob could not believe how terrible this place he once loved has now
become of. It could be where the owners put a greater priority on their
photography studio where vending at an astronomic 12 ringgit a cup is now a
deserted diversion. Not being able to satisfy everyone is now a futile argument
as they were once a passionate coffee house.
