Cultura of Bangsar

The snob is critical and if business owners wish to expand their cafes to cater to more people
or simply make more profit, they need to be assessed.

First and foremost, I am rather lethargic towards organic coffee beans since every cup in the past had put me to my deepest disappointments. The organic term may elicit a healthier lifestyle of oneself but whether or not farmers have been ripped off is a discussion left for another day.

I was very delighted when a non-franchise coffee house finally opened up their doors in Ikano Power Centre because this shopping centre was desperately lacking one. My order usually comes in twos but having learnt that their beans were organic upon arrival, I quickly changed my mind to a flat white (at RM 10). While waiting, I was having fun with Cultura’s flimsy furniture that can be dangerous but nevertheless, fun! As a word of advice, leave your old people at home or suffer the consequences.

My fear for organic beans was still embedded in me and the initial sip was a rejoicing one. Consequently, my return reflects on me being flattered by what they have been serving. Cultura’s cappuccino, flat white and latte are all up to my liking but it might not be as favourable for those who are seeking for a heavier tasting cup but I’m sure some arrangements could be done prior to an order. After many visits, I learnt that their baristas alternate between the yellow F&N and pink Farmhouse milk which is a rather unusual practice.

I once stumble upon their Bangsar branch by accident while making my way to Pulp from another direction and wondered why the bloody hell not. At least I get to be seated while drinking my coffee. As a whole, it must be said both branches possess commendable friendliness and brew great cups of coffee. Cultura is differentiated by being organic but I can’t help but wonder if the ingredients used in their bread, cakes and sandwiches are even a third organic. It is not difficult to infer when the owner named himself after a steroidal action hero, Sylvester Stallone.
[The little man behind the somewhat promising Cultura has closed their doors for a restaurant called Pink Belly.]
