Nara’s
coffee with milk (at a daring RM12 before service charges) is of light-body but nowhere
close to being as flavourful as its sibling The Good Batch’s. They could just be
forgiven if they’re more focused on what comes out of their kitchen. For
believing in the use of superior ingredients will yield a delicious tasting
dish, they cannot be more wrong. What Nara has done has made them a victim of
their own where their dishes tasted monotonous or flat even. My advice is to
forget both their coffee and food altogether and have some of their waffle that
goes with ice-cream. They’re not cheap but nothing is here.
