First and foremost, Doc Inc is truly a sanctuary positioned in a busy city like Bangsar. As I walked into this oasis, the pace of my heart slowed down and I was taken back in time to the 80s. It didn’t take long where I greeted by a pleasant young man with a hint of English accent who recommended trying one of their specials, which I did. The Presso Bomb (at RM 14) it was and a cup of Cappuccino (at RM 10). It came in a tray of rather amusing presentation which consisted of soda from Alor Gajah, two shots of espresso and an empty glass. First the soda is poured into the glass, not the entire bottle of it then espresso shots including its glass were thrown into the mixture. According to my fellow Brit, it was meant to create a Guinness-stout-like finish and it sure did look like the part.
Well the taste is nothing close to being as enjoyable as a felicitous stout but an entire glass of no less than nasty over sugary soda. For not wishing to break the will of this enthusiastic lad’s, I finished the entire PB as his gaze was so filled with hope. I honestly did try but I just couldn’t finish the very last mouthful of what is said to be the best of Dr Inc since it was the most awful thing I’ve had this entire year. As for their cappuccino, it tasted flat and the art was quite frankly rubbish where I left most of it where it belonged (in the cracks between the soil). Creative the chap may be nevertheless any commoner can tell coffee is one of many things he is not pleasing in.
Shortly after that, I felt a little sick after my dreadful experience of the Presso Bomb and hoped that it would have gone away upon my arrival home. I did actually feel better later in the evening, after several regurgitations and a bottle of PerioClear. And dear Sean of EatDrinkKL, profits aside, may you have some compassion by not sending any more of your readers for a gastric lavage.
